European Citizens' Initiative "Save Bees and Farmers" is successful!
We are glad that our commitment to the ECI was worthwhile and that we, together with over 220 other organisations, were able to offer individual citizens a platform for their voice.
By surpassing all the legally binding thresholds required, the ECI "Save Bees and Farmers" will be recognised as successful by the EU. This means that the EU Commission and the Parliament will have to deal with the demands and give a response. At the same time, we are sending a strong signal to the new federal government to finally implement a nature-friendly agricultural policy in Germany and to lobby Brussels for the corresponding laws, directives and subsidies.
The ESC and ERASMUS volunteers sent to Sicily also collected signatures on behalf of our partner organisation Giacche Verdi Bronte and contributed to the success.
